By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account and use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. Parents and legal guardians may use the Service to manage health information for their minor dependents.
2. Account Registration
To use the Service, you must create an account by providing accurate, current, and complete information. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- All activity that occurs under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
- Ensuring your account information remains accurate and up to date
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that we reasonably believe have been compromised or are being used in violation of these Terms.
3. Description of the Service
Round Table System is a personal health data management platform that allows you to:
- Connect to your healthcare providers' electronic health record systems using the FHIR standard
- Retrieve, view, and organize your personal health records
- Track health metrics and trends over time
- Manage health information for yourself and authorized dependents
The Service acts as a tool to help you access and organize health information that is already available to you through your healthcare providers.
4. Medical Disclaimer
The Service is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Round Table System is a data management tool, not a healthcare provider. Specifically:
- The Service does not provide medical advice, clinical recommendations, or diagnostic assessments.
- Information displayed in the Service is retrieved from your healthcare providers' systems and is presented for your convenience. We do not independently verify, interpret, or validate this information.
- Always seek the advice of your physician or other qualified health provider with any questions regarding a medical condition or treatment.
- Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of information accessed through the Service.
- If you believe you have a medical emergency, call your local emergency services immediately.
5. Your Data
5.1 Data Ownership
You retain all ownership rights to your personal information and health data. We do not claim ownership of any data you store, transmit, or access through the Service. You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your data solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.
5.2 Data Accuracy
Health data displayed in the Service is sourced from your connected healthcare providers. While we strive to present this data accurately, we are not responsible for errors or omissions in data provided by third-party health systems. If you notice inaccuracies in your health records, please contact your healthcare provider to request corrections at the source.
5.3 Data Portability
You may export your data from the Service at any time in standard formats. Upon account deletion, your data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
- Access or attempt to access another person's health information without proper authorization
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service's infrastructure or security measures
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the Service
- Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service without our written consent
- Transmit viruses, malware, or any code of a destructive nature
- Misrepresent your identity or authorization to access health information
- Use the Service to develop competing products or services
- Share your account credentials with third parties
7. Healthcare Provider Connections
When you connect your healthcare provider accounts through the Service:
- You authorize us to retrieve health data on your behalf using the FHIR standard and SMART on FHIR authorization protocols.
- You represent that you are authorized to access the health information you request.
- Connection availability depends on your healthcare provider's systems and is subject to their terms and technical capabilities.
- We are not responsible for interruptions, changes, or discontinuation of access by your healthcare providers.
- You may revoke any provider connection at any time.
8. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, functionality, software, text, graphics, and other content (excluding your data), is owned by Round Table System and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Service without our prior written consent.
9. Service Availability
We strive to keep the Service available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you in advance of planned maintenance that may affect Service availability.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
- We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, secure, or uninterrupted, or that any defects will be corrected.
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of profits, or damages arising from your reliance on information obtained through the Service.
- Our total cumulative liability for all claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us, if any, in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Round Table System, its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.
12. Termination
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or using the account deletion feature in the Service. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Upon termination:
- Your right to access the Service ceases immediately.
- We will delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
- Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (such as Limitation of Liability and Indemnification) will continue to apply.
13. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Hennepin County, Minnesota, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may modify these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on our website and, for significant changes, by sending an email notification to the address associated with your account. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
15. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. The unenforceable provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable while preserving its original intent.
16. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Round Table System regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
